The Synthesis Lamp is the result of a study into ropes and the fascination for the different connotations the material evokes; restricting and securing, fetishised and practical, folkloric and banal. 
      Single ropes are transformed into knots,  knots are transformed into objects,  time and repetition are transformed into a physical output.
